1. Overview

Messagesuite is built with enterprise-grade compliance and security at its core. As a Shopify App, we adhere to strict data protection standards and messaging regulations to ensure your brand stays compliant while engaging customers.

2. Shopify App Compliance

We are fully compliant with Shopify's Partner Program Agreement and API License Terms.

  • All billing is processed directly through Shopify's secure Billing API.
  • We only request permissions necessary for the app's functionality.
  • Stored customer data is encrypted and deleted upon app uninstallation (within 48 hours).

3. Messaging Regulations (TCPA & CTIA)

For merchants sending SMS/MMS in the United States and Canada, Messagesuite includes built-in safeguards to help you comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA guidelines.

  • Explicit Opt-in Support: Tools to collect express written consent via checkout, popups, and keywords.
  • Global Opt-out Management: Automatic handling of keywords like STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, and CANCEL across all channels.
  • Quiet Hours: Configurable "Do Not Disturb" windows to prevent sending messages during prohibited times.

4. WhatsApp Business & Meta Compliance

As a Meta Business Partner solution, Messagesuite ensures your WhatsApp campaigns meet Meta's strict commerce policies.

  • Template Approval: All marketing templates are submitted to Meta for approval before sending.
  • Quality Rating Monitoring: We monitor your phone number's quality rating to prevent blocking.
  • Tier Management: Automatic throttling to respect your current messaging limits.

5. GDPR & CCPA

We act as a Data Processor for your store. We provide tools to help you fulfill Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).

  • Right to Erasure: When a customer requests data deletion in Shopify, we verify and delete their data from our systems.
  • Data Portability: You can export customer conversation history and logs upon request.
  • Data Processing Agreement (DPA): Available for enterprise customers upon request.
